| The goal of the project is to build the capacity of human resources to adjust the challenges facing Morocco's economy as it dismantles its tariff barriers by 2010. The purpose of the project is to support Moroccan authorities in re-engineering the various components of the vocational training system, according to the skills-based approach (SBA), and in establishing the conditions needed to generalize this approach. | |||||||||||||

| Progress and Results Achieved | |||||||||||||
| Noteworthy results as of the end of project: elaboration and implementation of 22 programs using CBA in six sectors (tourism/hotel, textiles/apparel, handicrafts, agriculture, MMEE ( mechanical, metallurgical, electronic and electrical industries) and the tertiary sector; more than 100 vocational training professionals have been initiated to CBA; 11 methodologists have been certified in more than 50 fundamental competencies of CBA; 100% of the trainees in the sector of tourism (kitchen/restoration) have found a job. This allowed the Moroccan authorities to implement the conditions required to mainstream CBA. | |||||||||||||
