| The Country Coordination Fund (CCF) of the United Nations (UN) Development Operations Country Office aims to strengthen the capacity of UN country teams to assist governments in achieving national goals in line with the Millennium Development Goals. It supports reform efforts of the United Nations system, including the Delivering as One initiative, harmonising business practices, and improved planning and response to post-crisis transitions. By supporting the CCF, CIDA is helping to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the UN system at the country level. | ||||

| The expected intermediate outcomes for this project include: strengthened coordination and coherence of UN system activities at the country and regional level. | ||||
| Progress and Results Achieved | ||||
| Results achieved as of April 2012 include: enhanced integration of major national development challenges and priorities in United Nations Development Assistance Frameworks (UNDAF) through training of close to 700 UN country team members; increased harmonization and simplification of UN business practices through training of over 300 staff from UNDAF countries; and enhanced use of the MDG Acceleration Framework by developing countries. These results have contributed to strengthened UN coordination and coherence of UN system activities, and are expected to contribute to the achievement of the MDGs in developing countries. | ||||
