Amounts allocated for development assistance

• CIDA's Open Data portal
  Offers statistical data and other information on Canada's international assistance and CIDA's activities in data sets and machine-readable formats.
• Statistical report
  Provides a complete breakdown of the budget that CIDA and other Government of Canada departments and agencies allocate for international assistance, by country, mechanism, recipient, sector, and target organization, for each fiscal year. These reports also contain a description of progress achieved with regard to development.
• Report to Parliament on the Government of Canada's Official Development Assistance 2009-2010
  Provides the Government of Canada's expenditures for official development assistance during the previous fiscal year, including CIDA's expenditures for every region of the world and for every sector of activity.
• Departmental performance reports
  Provide the planned and actual main estimates for all of CIDA's strategic results and program activities for each fiscal year. These reports also provide data on total financial and human resources, including financial data on Canada's efforts in Afghanistan, Haiti and other fragile states.
• Report on Plans and Priorities
  Provides detailed information about CIDA's priorities for the upcoming year based on strategic results, program activities, and planned or expected results, and establishes linkages with related resource requirements. This report also contains data on major capital projects, grants and contributions, and net program costs.

Information about developing countries

• Regions and countries
  Describes Canada's involvement in developing countries. For each of the countries of focus an overview describes the current development status and CIDA's strategy. This overview includes the country's ranking on the United Nations Development Programme human development index, the proportion of population living in poverty and may include fact sheets, providing more information such as child mortality rates.
