What We Do in Sub-Saharan Africa


Canada met its commitment to double its international assistance to Africa, reaching $2.1 billion in 2008-09. As part of Canada's Aid Effectiveness Agenda, CIDA focuses on: Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Mozambique, Senegal, Sudan and South Sudan and Tanzania.

Through its geographic programs, CIDA supports a number of regional programs:
