Canada responded swiftly with a contribution of $85,000,000

$220,000,000 from the generous hearts of Canadians, matched by the Government of Canada and $400,000,000 as an overall pledge

Canada is by their side

1,000 tents, 5,000 shelter kits, 8,625 blankets, 4,968 buckets, 13,700 tarpaulins, 2,000 mosquito nets, 2,275 hygiene kits, 3,511 cooksets, 7,080 jerricans, have been sent

It supported the installation of an emergency field hospital and medical care

In the challenges ahead, Canada will be working alongside the Haitian people
