UNICEF Canada is a forerunner in this area, using a multidisciplinary approach to learning by providing Canadian teachers with curriculum-linked resources and material that include interactive games, activity sheets, stories, puzzles, and more. Development themes covered include children's rights and child trafficking.

With CIDA's support, UNICEF Canada has successfully reached hundreds of schools nationally. That has allowed not only for the building of knowledge, but also for empowering youth with the ability to think that poverty, disease, and injustice can be eradicated if they become active players. Through UNICEF, CIDA has contributed significantly to teaching global development in the classroom.
