February 2007 : Strengthening Small and Medium Entreprises (PDF, 588 KB, 9 pages)
This issue summarizes the main findings from the joint review of CIDA's Small and Medium Entreprise (SME) programming in Egypt carried out by the Egyptian Ministry of International Cooperation and the Agency's Evaluation Division, Performance & Knowledge Management Branch. It outlines lessons learned from the Review which could inform future programming in the SME sector.

March 2004: Effectively Combating HIV/AIDS Pandemic (PDF, 146 KB, 8 pages)
This issue focuses on the lessons obtained from CIDA's efforts in HIV/AIDS programming thus far. It outlines some of the issues specific to programming in this area, and addresses the elements for strengthening aid effectiveness in HIV/AIDS interventions.

October 2003: Gender Equality and Locally Administered Funds (PDF, 196 KB, 9 pages)
The issue focuses on how gender equality has successfully become an integral element for two locally administered funds:  1)  Fondo Ecuatoriano Canadiense de Desarrolla (FECD) in Ecuador, and 2) Proyecto de Apoyo al Desarrolla Local II (PADEL II) in Guatemala.  Eight key lessons reveal how results have been achieved, and how these funds can be models for duplication elsewhere. This issue describes what CIDA has learned to date about policy dialogue interventions. It addresses how effective policy dialogue activities can be linked to the realization of strategic objectives.
