Government of Canada

Slovenia

The Canadian International Development Agency's (CIDA) bilateral assistance (country-to-country) in Eastern and Central Europe has moved over the last few years, towards a more focused relationship with fewer countries where Canadian assistance can have a greater impact.

Nearly all country-to-country Canadian assistance to Slovenia concluded in March 2004, in recognition of its significant progress towards reform and in anticipation of its accession to the European Union.

Slovenia remains eligible for funding through core multilateral programs, including the Humanitarian Assistance Program.
