A significant percentage of CIDA's assistance to the Caribbean is provided through regional programs and projects that encourage collaboration among members of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States and the Caribbean Community and Common Market.

CIDA's priorities in the Commonwealth Caribbean are to promote good governance to strengthen the core capacities of key regional public institutions and non-state organizations so that they can better address development needs in the region
The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) supports a limited assistance program in Antigua and Barbuda. There are no long term bilateral projects planned in this country.

Antigua and Barbuda, like all member states of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) can benefit from various programs, such as:
  • other programs that allow institutions, associations, Canadian and international non-governmental organizations and, private sector enterprises to receive funding from CIDA to execute projects worldwide; and
