Bhutan

The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) maintains a limited development assistance program in Bhutan and there are currently no long-term projects planned in this country.

Bhutan benefits from various programs, such as:

• geographic and multilateral programs or the Humanitarian Assistance program;

• other programs that allow institutions, associations, Canadian and international non-governmental organizations and, private sector enterprises to receive funding from CIDA to execute projects worldwide; and

• the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives managed by the High Commission of Canada to India.
