Notice to Executing Agencies: Increase of Monthly Living Allowances of CIDA Students

Please note that as of July 1, 2007, the monthly living allowances have increased for the following cities.

Executing agencies that manage CIDA students are asked to proceed with the adjustment and with the retroactive payment, as soon as possible.

We also suggest that you modify the list of cities at Paragraph 344 of your Manual for Executing Agencies.

Normally, these increases are compiled and posted in May or June of each year. As the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) statistics were made public later than usual this year, we were unfortunately not able to compile the adjustments before today.
