Evaluation serves as a practical management tool for reviewing performance and enabling the Agency to learn from experience so that a better job can be done when designing and delivering future initiatives.
In this regard, the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) periodically conducts evaluations of its thematic priorities, programs and projects. CIDA's Performance and Knowledge Management Branch undertakes these evaluations on behalf of the Agency, either as part of its Annual Internal Audit and Evaluation Plan or on special request.
