What We Do in Asia

CIDA helps Asian nations develop the capacity to address the continent's most pressing challenges: reducing poverty, consolidating economic gains, strengthening governance and political inclusion, social development and the environment.

As part of Canada's Aid Effectiveness Agenda, CIDA focuses on Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan and Vietnam in this region.

Through its geographic programs, CIDA supports the Southeast Asia Regional Program.

CIDA also supports multilateral and global programs in Asia, as well as Partnerships with Canadians Programs.
