Position Description: Project Description:
This intern will work with Cardinal Tourism Management Consultants to increase the number of organizations delivering environmentally sustainable tourism activities and expanding the breadth of their offerings. The intern will develop and deliver training sessions on successful global initiatives in the area of sustainable tourism to locally engaged organizations and governmental bodies. The intern will create and initiate a strategic marketing plan to attract Canadian tourists to the coastal region of Ecuador.

Overseas Job Description:
1. Intern will focus on the development and promotion of sustainable tourism activities in the coastal region of Ecuador
2. Intern will develop and deliver educational training session to increase environmental sustainability of locally engaged tourism operations 3. Intern will develop and initiate a strategic marketing plan to promote organizations delivering sustainable tourism activities to the Canadian tourist market

Qualifications:
1. Meet all IYIP eligibility requirements; and
2. A Degree in tourism, environment, business, International development, political science, education or related field; and
3. Solid skill sets in research, business development, marketing, strategic thinking, and evaluation; and
4. Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic situations with the ability to be flexible and adapt to changes; and
5. Intermediate Spanish language skills
