Position Description:	Position Description: Support a team of Guyanese and Canadian professionals in preparing tools for the implementation of CDPs in urban, suburban and rural areas of Guyana, including, Organization and coordination of CDP Implementation Committees Preparation of CDP implementation plans Delivery of community demonstration projects Quarterly and annual plan monitoring and reporting Qualifications: University degree in urban or community planning Strong and demonstrated understanding of plan implementation Excellent English language communication skills Understanding of development issues in the Caribbean generally, and of the need to work with sensitivity and diplomacy in a foreign culture Description du poste: Appuyer une équipe de professionnels canadiens et guyanais dans la préparation d'outils pour la mise en œuvre des plans de développement communautaire (PDC) pour des zones rurales, suburbaines et urbaines de la Guyana, y compris : l'organisation et la coordination des comités de mise en oeuvre des PDC; la préparation des plans de mise en oeuvre des PDC; la prestation de projets communautaires pilotes; le suivi trimestriel et annuel des plans et l'établissement de rapports. Qualifications: Diplôme universitaire en aménagement urbain ou communautaire. Compréhension manifeste et approfondie de la mise en œuvre d'un plan. Excellente capacité de communiquer en anglais. Compréhension des problèmes de développement dans les Caraïbes en général, et de la nécessité de faire preuve de doigté et de diplomatie en travaillant dans une culture étrangère.

Host Organization Details:	The Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) is a semi-autonomous Agency that operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Housing and Water. CH&PA is comprised of six Departments: Land Development and Allocation; Planning and Settlement Development; Settlement Regularisation and Upgrading; Projects: Low Income Settlement Programme; Management Information System and Human Resources. In addition to CH&PA’s Head Office, there are six Regional Housing Offices. The Central Planning and Housing Authority of Guyana was created in 1948 to address the housing needs of the working class of Guyana. It has as its objectives the following: · The acquisition and allocation of lands for housing purposes and urban development · The design, survey and development of schemes on its own and in collaboration with various groups · The regulation of town and country planning La Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) est un organisme semi-autonome qui relève du ministère du Logement et de l’Eau.
