Position Description:	Position Description: assist in the writing of funding applications develop and implement a fundraising strategy based on the needs of the hospice network and cultivate new donor relationships both in the private and public sector work with the management team to develop financial and operational plans for the following fiscal year promote positive image and reputation of hospice by working with the marketing team to develop new promotional materials Qualifications: Background in marketing, financial planning or fundraising Excellent oral, written and communications skills Networking and interpersonal skills Knowledge of HIV/AIDS issues and the needs of HIV/AIDS patients Ability to work with limited resources Ability to self-motivate and innovate Description de travail Collaborer à la rédaction de demandes de financement. Élaborer et mettre en oeuvre une stratégie de collecte de fonds axée sur les besoins du centre de soins. Établir des réseaux et entretenir des relations avec de nouveaux donateurs des secteurs public et privé. Host Organization:	Holy Cross Hospice (HCH)
Host Organization Details:	The intern will research, write and submit funding applications for various projects which address the needs of people living with HIV/AIDS and orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) as implemented by the Hospice. The intern will also work with the hospice staff to gain a better understanding of the local funding environment and develop a fundraising and marketing strategy that will cultivate new donors within the private and public sector. Le stagiaire fera de la recherche, la rédaction et la soumission de demandes de financement pour divers projets qui répondent aux besoins des personnes vivant avec le VIH/sida et des orphelins et autres enfants vulnérables (OEV) et qui sont mis en place par le centre de soins. Le stagiaire travaillera aussi avec le personnel du centre de soins pour mieux comprendre le cadre de financement local et élaborer une stratégie de collecte de fonds et de commercialisation afin de solliciter de nouveaux donateurs des secteurs public et privé.
