Position Description:	Description du stage: Élaborer et dispenser un atelier de formation sur la participation citoyenne dans le cadre de la loi organique des Municipalités auprès des leaders de 8 comités de quartier Élaborer et réaliser un atelier de formation sur la formalisation et la reconnaissance des organisations sociales auprès des femmes de 3 organisations féminines Compléter l'inventaire des acteurs sociaux de la région incluant leur niveau de participation dans les décisions locales afin de finaliser le modèle de participation citoyenne. Qualifications: Bon sens d'adaptation, facilités en communication orale, bon sens de l'autonomie et de bonnes aptitudes en planification. Base en espagnol ou facilité dans l'apprentissage des langues Formation d'études supérieures touchant au service social, sciences politiques, études ou relations internationales ou domaines connexes. Position description: Develop a training workshop on citizen participation within the framework of the municipal organic law and present it to the leaders of eight neighbourhood committees - Develop a training workshop on formalizing and recognizing social organizations and present it to women from three women's organizations Complete the inventory of social stakeholders in the region, including their level of involvement in local decisions, to finalize the citizen participation model Qualifications: Good adaptability, good oral communication, good self-reliance and good planning skills. Basic knowledge of Spanish or aptitude for learning languages. Higher education in social service, political science, international studies or relations or related fields.

Host Organization Details:	Cette composante permettra de renforcer des organisations de femmes dans la Province de La Convencion, membres de la Table de concertation en santé. Ces organisations sont nouvelles dans la Province et il est nécessaire de les appuyer pour qu’elles prennent la place qui leur revienne dans les priorités de développement local. Il s’agit également de renforcer les capacités des membres de cette Table de concertation sur les mécanismes de participation citoyenne. Elle permettra également de renforcer les capacités des comités de quartier (Juntas vecinales zonales) afin qu’ils puissent jouer un rôle de premier plan dans les décisions touchant leur quartier. Enfin, cette composante permettra de poursuivre le travail initié l’an passé par un stagiaire PSIJ sur l’élaboration d’un modèle de participation citoyenne en complétant les étapes manquantes et en revalidant l’ébauche de modèle proposée par ce dernier stagiaire. Au bout des 3 années, on espère que le modèle sera adopté par la Municipalité de Santa Ana (Quillabamba). This component will strengthen women’s organizations in the province of La Convencion that take part in the issue table on health. These organizations are new in the province and they need to be supported so that they may take their rightful place in local development priorities. This component also involves building the capacities of members of this issue table regarding citizen participation mechanisms. This component will also build the capacities of the neighbourhood committees (Juntas vecinales zonales) so that they may play an integral role in decisions affecting their neighbourhoods. Finally, this component will make it possible to continue the work started last year by an IYIP intern to develop a citizen participation model by completing the missing steps and revalidating the draft model proposed by that intern. At the end of the three years, it is hoped that this model will be adopted by the municipality of Santa Ana (Quillabamba).
