Position Description: Position Description:

The Systems Manager (Phase 2) will work with ANED's IT management staff to build on and further:

  • Assess ANED's network of microfinance information management systems across the organisation, including the effectiveness of changes made in Phase 1
  • Assist in developing and implementing further enhancements to the system that respond to the national directives for Bolivian microfinance organisations in order to capture, analyse and monitor microfinance data;
  • Inform, advise and train staff on system changes.

Qualifications:
  • A degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, or other related fields;
  • Two years experience, ideally, in systems development and management;
  • Strong command of programming languages, including Visual Basic, Visual Basic.NET, ASP.NET, C# and PHP
  • Knowledge of database administration, including Access, SQL Server 2000 and MySQL
  • A minimum of intermediate ability in Spanish and willingness to learn more;
  • Capacity to live and work in another culture;
  • Understanding of or experience working in a non-profit environment an asset;
Host Organization: ANED
Host Organization Details: ANED and CCI work together to reduce poverty through the provision of micro finance services and the promotion of a social economy. Over three years, ANED and CCI plan to enhance organizational capacity with respect to micro finance services in three key areas: human resource management, information management systems, and risk management. The interns will contribute to the development and enhancement of these key organisational systems.
