Position Description:	Position Description: Work with NSGA staff in Canada and The Gambia to identify key messages to share with public. In collaboration with partners organize special events celebrating international days e.g. International Women's Day Use social media, video, and other interventions to share key messages identified by the organization. Offer presentations to schools and community groups in Canada and/or in The Gambia Work with NSGA media unit staff to increase their skills in multimedia Description du poste: Travailler avec le personnel de la NSGA au Canada et en Gambie pour déterminer les messages clés que l'on veut communiquer au public; En collaboration avec les partenaires, organiser des activités spéciales pour célébrer des journées internationales, p. ex., la Journée internationale de la femme; Utiliser les médias sociaux, la vidéo et d'autres outils d'intervention pour diffuser des messages clés choisis par l'organisme; Proposer des exposés aux écoles et aux groupes communautaires au Canada et en Gambie; Travailler avec le personnel chargé des médias à la NSGA afin d'accroître ses compétences en techniques multimédias à des fins d'engagement du public. Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have: A degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field Experience working with diverse cultures and communities Experience developing public engagement materials for an NGO Strong understanding of Social media as a tool for engagement Experience developing and editing videos. Experience with developing educational and communications programs and materials; Experience organizing special events Experience working with the media Understanding of international Qualifications: La personne idéale possède les qualités suivantes : diplôme en communications, mise en marché, relations publiques ou dans un domaine connexe; expérience de travail auprès de communautés et de cultures diverses; expérience de l'élaboration d'outils de participation du public pour une organisation non gouvernementale (ONG); excellente compréhension des médias sociaux en tant qu'outil de sensibilisation et de mobilisation; expérience de création et de montage vidéo; expérience de l'élaboration de documents et de programmes de sensibilisation et de communication; expérience de l'organisation d'activités spéciales; expérience de travail auprès des médias; compréhension des enjeux du développement international, y compris les Objectifs du Millénaire pour le développement (OMD).
