Description du stage : APIPAC is working to improve the benefits derived by women working in the mango industry in Burkina Faso. They are intervening at all levels of the value chain from inputs and production to final end market. The project will increase sustainable market access and production for the women of the area and ensure that they are well entrenched in strategic areas of the value chain where they get the most benefit.

The intern will perform an analysis of the mango value chain in Burkina Faso, south west region. Understanding of the relationships between the different actors in the chain from producers to exporters, what are the problems, what are some possible areas for change and growth. Within the organisation, the intern will be working alongside the local staff to help improve and develop their relations and coordination of the different actors in the mango value chain in order to help them better understand, improve and communicate the impact they are having. The intern will spend the majority of her time in the south west region of Burkina Faso and will be based in the Bobo-Dioulasso branch of the organization. Working alongside APIPAC field staff, APIPAC members and local beneficiaries, participatorily improving the present structure for support, information and training of the different actors in the chain.
