EIC encourages, strengthens and assists each partner church to appropriately meet the physical and spiritual needs of its community and beyond.Through its partners in Brazil, Ethiopia, Haiti, Indonesia, Malawi, Mozambique, Peru, the Philippines, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda, Emmanuel International has helped meet the needs of the poor through its relief, rehabilitation and rural community development programs. EIC insists that all project benefits derived from community development, relief and rehabilitation are to be available to all, regardless of race, gender, or religion. Some projects may be gender specific in order to target the most vulnerable.

Description du stage : The health/nutrition liaison officer will be working with our project staff to strengthen links with Ministry of Health programs in Machinga District, particularly focusing on enhancing the effectiveness of our projects which are targeting patients on ARV or TB treatment, also households affected by HIV/AIDS.

The health/nutrition liaison officer will have the overall objective of enhancing the effectiveness of our project work in partnership with the Ministry of Health in Machinga District. This will involve familiarisation with the current projects, analysis of their strengths and weaknesses, and formulating and implementing measures for improvement. This internship aims to strengthen the partnerships we have with the Ministry of Health (as well as other sector bodies such as Unicef), and will involve capacity building and support to our project staff as well as Ministry of Health staff,as well as attending and contributing to relevant health sector meetings.
