The purpose of CCA's project with MUSCCO is to introduce a new Credit
Union software package into 16 SACCOs and MUSCCO. The project will provide
funds for the software and technical support to MUSCCO to install the software
and provide training and service support. Each individual participating SACCO
will purchase the computers and printers and designate a person responsible to
lead and maintain the computerization process. The project also pays salaries
and relayed costs for 2 auditors. This project was started in 2005. In Canada In Canada the intern will attend a pre-departure orientation. Overseas The project requires an intern at the research stage to assist in developing and refining tools to use for data gathering and analysis. The intern would be developing the tools in the area of savings and credit co-operatives. By using participatory methodologies and skills in appreciative inquiry the intern will assist in establishing baseline information which will inform the future direction of the program. Knowledge in community participation and an understanding of cooperatives or member based business enterprises would be essential. |
