Description du stage : To assist the Community facilitator and Project coordinator with capacity building activities and monitoring the established Older Women Caregiver projects.

In Canada
- Attend Help the Aged (Canada) training and Department of Foreign Affairs, Centre for Intercultural Learning, workshop.
- In consultation with Project Manager, develop a job search strategy.
- Complete IYIP and HTAC documentation, register with ROCA (DFAIT).
- Complete required inoculations, visa and/or work permit, travel and travel insurance arrangements.
- Establish contact with overseas host organization.
- Attend HTAC and CIL debriefing sessions.
- Prepare a final report on activities, outputs and challenges, make recommendations for future programs.
- Promote the IYIP and intern's involvement.

- To assist the Older Women Caregiver (OWC) facilitator and project coordinator in capacity building and monitoring established OWC projects for agriculture and nutrition in the 17 villages.
- To assist OWC to establish viable Income Generating Activities (IGA) to support sustainability in the program areas mentioned above.
- To assist in the identification of in country sponsored programs, other NGO's and like-minded institutions, agencies and businesses, to facilitate ongoing resource mobilization, networking and sustainability of gains.

Détails au sujet de l'organisation d'accueil : The Matangwe Community Health and Development Project (MCHDP) was initiated in 1997 with the assistance of Caring Partners International (CPI) based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. This registered NGO provides primary health care, diagnostic and emergency patient care, and compassionate care services to a catchment area of approximately 14,000 people residing in 46 villages in the Bondo District of Western Kenya.
