Since it started more than 100 years ago, SIM has helped to meet the needs of the poor through sustainable community development, health, nutrition, agricultural, and educational programs. Most recently, SIM has taken a lead role in HIV/AIDS prevention and response in specific Sub-Saharan African countries and in India. All of our programs are designed to benefit the poor regardless of ethnicity, gender, or religious affiliation, and we expect that our programs at minimum do no harm to the environment. When appropriate, we support programs that specifically target vulnerable groups such as women or children.|
