The objective of the "Innovative Social and Economic Leaders" project is
to strengthen the capacity and skills of adolescents and youth as well as
educational insitutions. This project, initiated in June 2006, will focus on
the use and enhancement of innovative products to improve the quality of life
and social conditions of marginalized youth in order to foster
self-sustainability. The primary target group will be institutional educators
who work with adolescents and youth from the marginalized areas of El Alto and
La Paz. In Canada Pre-departure: -Uploading information on Street Kids International and it's innovative tools and methodology -Debriefing with Canadian staff on communications, logistics, expectations, the Bolivian context and deliverables Re-entry -Final Reporting -Debriefing Canadian Staff on lessons learned, challenges and opportunities Public Engagement Overseas Training Facilitation - Delivery of entrepreneurship training modules including Street Kids International's own Street Business Toolkit - Co-facilitation of accompaniment training to equip youth workers with effective strategies to support youth - Co-ordination and implementation of youth practice business training opportunities Tool Development -Collaboration with the CDEA team in the research and development of youth driven materials |
