Reporting to the Senior Construction Delegate, the Junior Delegate, will
assist with the monitoring of Red Cross construction sites in the Maldives,
where they will spend 5 months. Upon their return from Maldives, the Junior
Delegate with work closely with the Humanitarian Issues Program, during a one
month internship in Canada in which they will participate in public engagement
activities with a focus on youth. In Canada, during the domestic component of the internship, participate in various public engagement activities including: mentoring other youth; public education regarding global humanitarian issues; promoting humanitarian values, leadership and the work of the Red Cross/ Red Crescent Movement While in the Maldives, the Junior Delegate will: - Conduct quality assessments in various construction sites to see if construction standards set out in contracting agreements are met. - Advise the Senior Construction Delegate of any outstanding compliance issues with regards to the reconstruction contracts - Other duties as assigned by the Senior Construction delegate |
