The intern will be involved in several of the reproductive health
projects that PPFA-I is currently implementing in several African countries.
Several of the projects focus on unsafe abortion and adolescent sexual and
reproductive health and rights. The intern will contribute to the advocacy work
of the organization by monitoring and strengthening several PPFA-I projects. In Canada The Canadian phase of the internship will consist of training and preparations prior to departure and bebriefing upon return. Overseas The intern will be involved in research, writing for publication, developing proposals, updating the organization's web site content and documentation. The intern will represent PPFA-I in advocacy activities related to unsafe abortion and adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights. The intern will work alongside PPFA-I staff to communicate PPFA-I's goals, objectives and programs at meetings with reproductive health partners, government Ministries of Health and human rights and development NGOs. The intern will be involved in researching and writing articles for the PPFA-I regional newsletter and other publications as necessary. |
