Description du stage : The project in Recife is part of a larger project to identify ad work on community development issues as identified using a participator research approach. Build on initial analysis the rpoject seeks to further identify and locate problem areas and community assets for addressing those problems. In Recife the project is focussing on food securty of residents in informal settlements.

The intern will be responsible for doing participatory research with low-income communities in Recife to ascertain the gaps in the food security of its residents. This could involve community meetings and or surveys. The intern will then assist the municipality in its planning process through compiling the results of the research into a report. Additionally, the intern will be involved in making connections within all sectors related to food provision, to ensure that a multi-stakeholder approach is used to generate policy supported by the entire community.
