Focusing on gender and economic development, the project involves
developing training workshops on alternative economic initiatives for women and
youth in rural and urban areas. In addition, this project will synthesize the
experiences of the participants and systematize the successes and learnings,
creating guidelines for the organization to promote fairness and sustainability
in organizational practices. In Canada -Learn about the goals and activities of the Canadian and overseas host organizations; -Research and analyze gender focused alternative economic initiatives -Prepare resources for participatory workshops on gender and economy and sustainable income generation initiatives -Educate Canadian constituency on gender and economic issues based on experiences during internship Overseas A. Develop and implement a training program for women and youth 1. Promote meetings with women's groups to discover their expectations and interests 2. Assist women's groups explore and implement alternative economic initiatives 3. Promote exchanges between the different groups in order to strengthen ties between them and identify avenues for collective action B. Systematize the experience, drawing out an analysis and lessons learned from the project |
