|Description du stage :||
The intern will join the VYC work in the area of peer education and
HIV/AIDS aimed at strengthening the work of the organization in the health and
social sectors of Guyana and specifically with the fledging network of
organizations working with VYC in response to HIV/AIDS.
The intern is required to become acquainted with the environmental mandate of FutureWatch, and to study the work being conducted by the partner organization in Guyana. They will research the country profile. They will secure pre-trip medical inoculations and medical and travel insurance, as well as participate in orientation and skills development seminars. Upon return, he/she will finalize a report on their overseas experience in Guyana. The intern will participate in a job search workshop program and contact potential employers.
The intern will provide support to the Health Programme Coordinator to facilitate HIV/AIDS training and for peer educators at VYC. He/she will also provide support in the implementation of the HIV/AIDS education and community outreach programmes, and to help in monitoring the effectiveness of the organization's work with target communities in the context of HIV/AIDS.
