The intern will join the Bolivian Council for Voluntary Forestry
Certification and will help with the "Forestry Eco Business" ("EcoNegocios
Forestales") initiative promoting Bolivia's role in areas related to rural
development, forest certification, conservation of the natural resources, and
market tendencies related to certified products. In Canada The intern is required to become acquainted with the environmental mandate of FutureWatch, and to study the work being conducted by the partner organization in Bolivia. They will research the country profile. They will secure pre-trip medical inoculations and medical and travel insurance, as well as participate in orientation and skills development seminars. Upon return, he/she will finalize a report on their overseas experience in Bolivia. The intern will participate in a job search workshop program and contact potential employers. Overseas The intern will be responsible for organizing and documenting community meetings, assisting the project/program coordinator in preparing documentation, writing weekly and monthly reports; and coordinating workshops/education programs related to forest certification, conservation of the natural resources and market tendencies of certified products. Also the intern will be helping in updating the database on the organization website. |
