The intern will join the Environmental Management Program of AlterVida
by supporting the project's environmental education component and will involve
local schools, Ministry of Education, community groups, and other interested
partners in the process. In Canada The intern is required to become acquainted with the environmental mandate of FutureWatch, and to study the work being conducted by the partner organization in Paraguay. They will research the country profile. They will secure pre-trip medical inoculations and medical and travel insurance, as well as participate in orientation and skills development seminars. Upon return, he/she will finalize a report on their overseas experience in Paraguay. The intern will participate in a job search workshop program and contact potential employers. Overseas The intern will be responsible for conducting an environment educational program and developing an environment education curriculum appropriate for the high school level. He/she will work with the Ministry of Education to implement the curriculum once it is created. |
