Description du stage : Position Description:

  • Develop an understanding of current monitoring and evaluation tools utilized in the Girl Empowerment Program
  • Collect monitoring data using revised tools with SWAGAA staff
  • Analyze data, develop recommendations for future initiatives
  • Evaluate impact of expanded empowerment program using revised tools
  • Share results and recommendations with SWAGAA staff

Qualifications:

  • Degree in social sciences with focus on gender studies
  • Knowledge of gender programming and project management, particularly with girls and young women
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation in a community setting
  • Knowledge and skills related to project cycle
  • Ability to work in another culture
  • Excellent presentation skills
Organisation d'accueil : Swaziland Action Group Against Abuse (SWAGAA)
Détails au sujet de l'organisation d'accueil : SWAGAA is the lead NGO in Swaziland advocating for the passage of Domestic Violence legislation which is expected to pass before December 2009. To assist women and create an understanding of the legislation within the court system SWAGAA intends to develop a court watch system. The court watch system would be modelled after other court watch programs in Africa; the IYIP positions would research these programs leading to the development and piloting of a Swazi program.
