Mandat :	The Tatamagouche Centre is a not-for-profit residential education and conference centre and registered charity owned by the United Church of Canada. It offers adult education and leadership training as well as consulting and facilitation services to youth groups, professional associations, health care and social service agencies, universities, church groups, cooperatives, First Nations organizations, labour unions and government departments. NGOs such as CUSO, Metropolitan Immigrant Services Association, Oxfam, Canada World Youth, the Coady International Institute and Canadian Crossroads International send staff, students and volunteers for training at Tatamagouche Centre. The Maritimes-Guatemala Breaking the Silence program, our human rights and community development program with Guatemalan partners that began in 1988, is a core part of our International program. Le Tatamagouche Centre est à la fois un centre de conférences, un internat à but non lucratif et un organisme de bienfaisance enregistré dont est propriétaire l’Église unie du Canada. Il offre une formation sur le leadership et des cours aux adultes ainsi que des services de facilitation et de consultation aux groupes de jeunes, aux associations professionnelles, aux organismes sociaux et de soins de santé, aux universités, aux groupes confessionnels, aux coopératives, aux organisations des Premières nations, aux syndicats et aux ministères. Des ONG, comme le CUSO, la Metropolitan Immigrant Services Association, Oxfam, Jeunesse Canada Monde, le Coady International Institute et Carrefour Canadien International, envoient du personnel, des étudiants et des volontaires suivre une formation au Tatamagouche Centre. Le programme « Maritimes-Guatemala Breaking the Silence », programme de développement communautaire et de droits de la personne réalisé conjointement avec des partenaires guatémaltèques et lancé en 1988, est un élément central du programme international du Tatamagouche Centre.

Détails au sujet de l'organisation d'accueil :	Comite Campesino Del Altiplano (CCDA) is an Indigenous Peasant organization with approximately 15000 members across 11 departments of Guatemala. Interns will strengthen CCDA’s capacity to deliver environmental education trainings and activities through various means of communication (related to sustainable land and water management, adaptation to climate change) and help strengthen the organization’s environmental governance through building the capacity of youth and women in leadership roles.
