  • This project will support FONCRESOL to comply with the new Autoridad de Supervisión del Sistema Financiero, ASFI (formerly the Superintendencia de Bancos y Entidades Financiera, SBEF) standards, which require microfinance institutions (MFIs) to develop technology-based platforms in order to provide human resources training to improve client service. The project objective is to strengthen the capacity of FONCRESOL to develop and implement a virtual learning environment (VLE), that is, Web-based training, and create, manage and deliver e-learning content across the organization's various training development areas. The Canadian volunteer specializing in learning and content management systems (commonly abbreviated as LMS and CMS) will assist FONCRESOL to implement on-line and collaborative learning applications, as well as help staff to plan, deliver and manage on-line learning content and events.
  • Assist with learning and content management system implementation, including Web-based courses, training and collaborative learning fora
  • Develop tools to better plan, deliver and manage on-line training aligned with FONCRESOL's learning initiatives
  • Train and mentor FONCRESOL staff on new tools.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in the development of Web-based technology and applications, e-learning, e-collaboration and information technology (IT) preferred
  • Knowledge of S.O. Linux (Red Hat)
  • Knowledge of databases Postgres, MySql
  • Knowledge of Java technology, PHP
  • Knowledge of CMS (content management systems), for example, Alfresco
  • Knowledge of LMS (learning management systems), for example, Moodle
  • Intermediate ability in Spanish
Organisation d'accueil : FONCRESOL
Détails au sujet de l'organisation d'accueil : FONCRESOL and CCI work together to reduce poverty through the provision of micro finance services and the promotion of a social economy. Over three years, FONCRESOL and CCI are working to strengthen FONCRESOL's programming in fair trade, youth entrepreneurship and communal banks. The interns will contribute to both the development of these programmes, as well as their ongoing evaluation.
