| Brief Description of Event: | As part of International Development Week (Feb. 5-11, 2012), the Ontario Council for International Cooperation (OCIC) is honouring five young women from across the province for empowering and making a difference in the lives of women and girls in their communities and around the globe. During the week time, OCIC, a council of Ontario-based international development and global education organizations and individuals working globally for social justice, will highlight the work of Estelle Ah-Kiow, Atiyya Bacchus, Tenille Brown, Stephanie Needham, and Carley Robb-Jackson through text and videos online at: http://bit.ly/ocicIDW12 This initiative is undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). |
